Amidst the sea of young, determined faces, one cannot help but be drawn to the figure of Albert Auerbach (1894-1918), standing proudly in the third row, third from the left. The uniformity of the soldiers' appearance speaks volumes of the discipline and camaraderie that bound them together in their shared mission.
