She played a big part in keeping Malta supplied with cargoes of vital importance. She was the first submarine to embark a cargo of petrol and mines, and to carry out a mine-laying operation during her passage. She made several trips, (represented by white stripes on her PCS (" Porpoise carrier service flag" ).
