The film is the story of a top-line Pentagon official, who travels to England to find a leak in British intelligence. CIA spy Donovan (Gene Barry) is in London tracking a British double agent who is collaborating with a Soviet spy team led by the treacherous Shevik (Marius Goring). Kidnapped by some of Sheviks men, Donovan is rescued by Peter Langley (Tom Adams), who he suspects is the turncoat. Investigating Langley, he meets the mans estranged wife, Anne (Joan Collins), and their young son, Michael (Gary Clifford). Donovans growing attraction to Anne is thwarted when her son is placed in harms way.
