As members of the N.U.W.S.S Pilgrimage to London from Carslisle, passed through Manchester, they were joined by a large number of local supporters. Those pictured include, Lady (Beatrice) Rochdale, Mrs. Frank Marshall, Coucillor Margaret Ashton (chair of the Manchester Society for Womens Suffrage) and Miss. Dover. All wear sashes of the N.U.W.S.S and the raffia cockeshell badge pinned to their hats. Miss. Dover holds the banner of Keswick on far right of the picture. Date: 1913
