PUTNEY BRIDGE, PUTNEY, WANDSWORTH, GREATER LONDON. The view from the tower of St Mary's Church, Putney looking across the new Putney Bridge towards All Saints Church, Fulham on the opposite bank of the River Thames.
This bridge replaced the Old Putney Bridge which dated from 1729. Work began on this replacement in 1880 and was completed in 1886 after which the old bridge was demolished.
