Includes mathermatical problems, plain sailing calculations, reduction of time, a page of hand drawn flag standards, calculations for gunners, astronomical calculations. There is an observation on 15 May 1686 involving a Mr Butty and two other men running very fast on an otherwise deserted and uninhabited island. They ran up a hill and away from sight. This was observed whilst William Spink and others were on an island [Strom Bloe?] hunting for wild rabbits. The volume has William Spink his book 1697 and at another point William Spink his book 1705 written within.
