Created between 1460 and 1466 by the renowned Flemish artist Rogier van der Weyden (attributed to), this oil on panel masterpiece resides in Eglise de Saint-Martin in Ambierle, France. In this exquisite portrayal, Michel de Chaugy is depicted kneeling on a cushion alongside his patron saint, Michael the Archangel. This remarkable altarpiece was generously given to Eglise de Saint-Martin through De Chaugy's will in 1476.
