1219968 The Codex Chimalpahin and historical works by Fernando de Alva Ixtilxochitl in Spanish and Nahuati, manuscripts on paper in 3 volumes by Mexican School, (17th century); Museo Nacional de Antropologia, Mexico City, Mexico; (add.info.: A seminal three-volume handwritten indigenous history of pre-Hispanic and 16th century Mexico.
Prominent in the first two volumes are the writings of Fernando de Alva Ixtlilxochitl (c.1568/1580-1648), a direct descendant of Ixtlilxochitl I and Ixtlilxochitl II, rulers of Texococo, and of CuitlAahuac, the penultimate ruler of Tenochtitlan.
Most of Volume Three was written by Domingo Francisco de San AntAon MuAnAon Chimalpahin Quauhtlehuanitzin (1579-1660), a Nahuatl historian who also claimed to be a descendant of Aztec rulers.
Returned to Mexico in 2014.
