PCT4272298 Tartarin of Tarascon has tame the Tarasque. Postcard featuring two mythical figures from the small Provencal town: Tartarin (character of Alphonse Daudet's novels) and Tarasque, a fabulous and folk monster (dragon tame by Sainte Martha, according to tradition). On the back of this card posted on March 2, 1917, a French soldier, who returned to Tarascon for a few days (injury or permission), wrote to his paramedic colleague remains at the front. He compares the German army to a new Tarasque: "When will we be as happy as Tartarin?" Will we manage to tame the new Tarasque? Sure. Courage and trust, we'll get them! It's a good weather here, my dear one; I would not leave my bell tower and my sun any more. See you soon. Prosper. P.S. Keep this card for me! Wood effect frame, card mounted, 10x8 fade resistant photo print. Overall outside dimensions 14x12 inches (36x31cm). Environmentally and ozone friendly, 40mm wide x 15mm Polycore® moulding has the look of real wood, is durable and light and easy to hang. Biodegradable and made with non-chlorinated gases (no toxic fumes) it is efficient; producing 100 tons of polystyrene can save 300 tons of trees!
